Technical Drawings & Dimensions
Our composite insulators are made of a glass fiber epoxy core rod, silicone rubber sheds, and metal fittings. The silicone sheds use a full-pressure technique, which solves a key problem – electric spark punctures at the interface – so the insulator stays reliable. The glass fiber rod is connected to the metal fittings with advanced crimping technology, and we have a full automatic ultrasonic system to check for defects. They are strong, compact, lightweight, and look nice. The metal fittings are galvanized to prevent corrosion. Compared with porcelain insulators, they are reliable, make full use of the core rod's strength, and are easier to handle without damage.
