Tension clamps are used for cornering, splicing, and terminal connection. Spiral aluminum-clad steel wire has extremely high tensile strength and no concentrated stress, which protects the optical cable and helps reduce vibration. The complete set of optical cable tension hardware includes: tension pre-twisted wire and matching connecting hardware. The clamp gripping force is not less than 95% of the rated tensile strength of the optical cable. It is easy and quick to install, reducing construction costs. It is suitable for ADSS optical cable lines with a span of ≤100 meters and a line turning angle of <25° .

A tension clamp is a type of hardware designed to secure conductors or cables under tension, offering mechanical support to both the insulator and the conductor. It is commonly used to attach overhead power lines to utility poles or optical devices.

 

Tension clamps can be broadly classified into two types based on their structure and installation conditions. The first type: The tension clamp is responsible for bearing the entire tension of the conductor or lightning conductor. The clamping force of the clamp should be no less than 90% of the rated tensile strength of the installed conductor or lightning conductor. However, it is not used as a conductive body. Such clamps can be removed after the conductor is installed and used separately. This type of clamp includes bolt-type tension clamps and wedge-type tension clamps, etc. The second type: The tension clamp not only bears the entire tension of the conductor or lightning conductor but also serves as a conductive body. Therefore, once installed, this type of clamp cannot be removed. It is called a dead clamp. Due to its conductive nature, the installation of the clamp must be carried out in accordance with the relevant installation operation procedures.
