High Voltage Composite Long Rod Insulator With Socket Ending

The Socket Ball Suspension Composite Insulator (with Socket & Ball End Fittings) is a commonly used composite (polymer) insulator for high-voltage transmission lines, characterized by the following:

Composite Material: The insulator body is constructed of silicone rubber or EPDM elastomer + fiberglass reinforced rod (FRP), making it lightweight and resistant to pollution flashover.

Suspension Structure: Used in high-voltage transmission lines, it suspends the conductor from the tower, bearing the tension of the conductor through its own suspension.

End Fittings:

Socket end: One end of the insulator is a cylindrical/socket structure for easy fixing to the tower arm or connecting chain.

Ball end: The other end is a spherical (ball-head) fitting used for insertion into locking or suspending chain links, distributing stress.
