I. Vertical Column Insulator (Vertical Installation)
1. Installation Location: Vertically erected on the crossarm, pole top platform, or support plane, with the base facing downwards and the top supporting the conductor, similar to the vertical installation method of a pin insulator.
2. Stress Characteristics: Primarily withstands lateral bending moments (conductor wind load, short-circuit electrodynamic lateral thrust); Axial pressure is very low (only the conductor's own weight); The core rod is designed for **cantilever bending strength**, and the base is a single screw/bolt seat, compatible with crossarm flat openings.
3. Applicable Scenarios: Conventional distribution poles, cement/steel pipe poles with crossarms; Vertical support for ordinary urban overhead lines, pole-mounted switches, and surge arresters; Vertical support for substation busbars and disconnecting switches (FZSW series vertical support); Replaces traditional porcelain pin insulators and vertical porcelain supports; universal mounting hole positions.
4. Structural Features: The bottom features a single screw base, while the top clamp holds the wire upwards; the umbrella skirts are arranged vertically, allowing rainwater to flow quickly down the skirts and reducing dirt accumulation.
