
On May 14, in the 220kV Jintai substation of the State Grid Hubei Wuhan Power Supply Company, the drone completed the low-altitude autonomous inspection of the substation according to a fixed route through the "one-key" task. This inspection is only 3 meters away from the ground, and the inspection efficiency has been increased by 3 to 4 times. This is the first time that the low-altitude autonomous inspection of substation drones has been applied in Hubei.
In February of this year, the State Grid Wuhan Power Supply Company began to study the low-altitude autonomous inspection technology of substations, and designed a UAV inspection path 3 meters above the ground. The important data such as circuit breaker opening and closing instructions and current transformer oil level can realize full coverage of substation oil filling and independent inspection of inflatable equipment, filling the technical gap in related fields. Compared with manual inspections, autonomous inspections by UAVs have reduced operating time by 70%, and the detection rate of defects and hidden dangers has increased by 2 to 3 times.
In the next stage, State Grid Wuhan Power Supply Company will expand the application scenarios of drone inspections, and build a "transmission, transformation and distribution" equipment inspection integration platform with a radius of 5 kilometers around the substation through "fixed + mobile" machine nests , Realize multi-professional intelligent mobile inspection.
