4. The pressure equalizing ring has improved electric field distribution, reduced corona and radio interference, and protects the umbrella skirt from being burned out during strong arcs. The effect is more remarkable for composite insulators with high voltage levels.

5. The composite insulator has a compact structure, small volume and light weight (1/7~1/10 of the porcelain insulator string of the same level). It has good elasticity and does not need to be cleaned regularly. Therefore, it not only brings great convenience to transportation and installation, but also greatly reduces the amount of maintenance and saves a lot of maintenance costs, reduces the labor intensity of workers, and also provides good conditions for accident maintenance and the implementation of compact lines.
