On March 7, Bazhou-Teganlik-Ruoqiang 750 kV transmission and substation project was started in Kulle City, Bayingoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. This is the first ultra-high voltage power grid construction project to be started in Xinjiang power grid in 2023.
Bazhou-Teganlik-Ruoqiang 750 kV transmission and substation project with a total investment of 4.616 billion yuan is the largest single investment in Xinjiang 750 kV transmission and substation project, which will build Ruoqiang 750 kV substation, Teganlik 750 kV switchyard, expand Bazhou 750 kV substation, add substation capacity 3 million kVA, 875 km of new 750 kV lines, expected to be completed and put into operation in December 2024.

Bazhou - Tiganli - Ruoqiang 750 kV power transmission project as the autonomous region to promote electrification of Xinjiang, the key project to serve the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt core area, is an important part of the construction of the Xinjiang Ring Tarim 750 kV ring network project. After the completion of Bazhou-Teganlik-Ruoqiang 750 kV transmission project, Bazhou will form a 750 kV hub-type backbone grid pattern of "north to south and west to east", which will strongly support the construction of the third AC outgoing channel of Xinjiang power grid and promote Xinjiang and Qinghai.
