On November 29, local time, Algerian Minister of Energy and Mining Mohammad Aqab held talks with visiting Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov. Officials and business representatives from the energy and mineral sectors of both sides participated in the talks.
During the talks, the two sides focused on discussing new opportunities for the development of cooperative relations between the two countries in the field of energy, discussed investment opportunities and possibility of cooperation for companies of the two countries in oil and natural gas, and petroleum products, electricity, renewable energy and related training.
The two sides also discussed developments in the global oil and gas market, affirming the important role played by "OPEC +" in achieving stability in the global oil market.
During the talks, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation between Algeria and Azerbaijan in the field of energy.
