The following types of insulators are common in substations:

(1) Support (post) insulators: used to support and fix soft and hard busbars, moving and static contacts of isolation switches of indoor and outdoor distribution devices and insulate them from the ground.

(2) Bushing insulator: used for bushing or lead wall, ceiling, and indoor and outdoor lead or introduction.

(3) Line (suspension) Insulators are used to fix conductors of overhead transmission lines and soft busbars of outdoor distribution devices and insulate them from the ground.
